Beautiful dress, and use of the fabric to bring out color as she is kind of pale and uninteresting against a white backdrop fullscale without something so colorful. :)

Dolls particularly are one of my worse fears (especially porcealin.. -shudder-), but.. this outfit is simply wonderful. it's beautiful, and i'd think it'd be too shameful to wear something as spectacular as this. good work.. =]

Wow, I feel I must worship! Ahem. . . no, seriously, this is amazing. From what I can see, the stitches are teeny tiny, with great care given to detail and construction of the garment. The outfit design is beautiful, the use of colors and patterns. . .. I don't believe there's anything bad to say about this at all. I do wish there were some close-ups of the stitches.

That really is a beautiful costume on the doll, love the oriental influences.

Ever done kimekomi? Well....not exactly kimekomi dolls, but there's a variant whose name eternally escapes me. More or less, you make the doll itself out of wire, straw and paper, with hands, feet, and head of varying materials (sometimes the heads are made of porcelein with glass eyes 0_o ). Overtop of this is kimonos and dresses that the maker actually sews together themselves, and some don't look too far from this picture.

Might be worth looking up sometime, neh? A bit of an expensive hobby, tho.

Such dolls- Ball-Jointed-Dolls are available only in Korea or Japan (there will be a ball-jointed-dolls shop opened in USA but not all dolls will be sold there)
You have to buy such doll through on-line shop
Here are the links:
[link] - I've ordered one doll from this shop (now I am waiting for shipping ) , In my opinion dolls from this shop are most beautiful.
[link] - very first ball-jointed dolls called 'Dollfie'

There are two types of such dolls:
those about 60 cm tall- usually their face and body looks mature: ressemble to 17-20 year old boy/girl
and those about 40 cm tall - they usually ressemble 10-12 year old children
The prices are various. Usually this 42 cm doll costs about 350 $ (no outfit, but eyes, body, hair and make-up included) shipping costs are about 50-60 $ 60 cm dolls cost about 550-600 $ ... ^^; They are not cheap ... uh... I had to save my money for a very loooong time, but finally I was able to buy my dollie ;)
